Stop Anxiety Attacks At The First Symptoms

Are you one of the approximately four million people in the United States who have experienced symptoms of anxiety?  Anxiety can be detrimental to your ability to deal with daily life.  It will not only affect the way you think but can actually cause debilitating physical illnesses. This illness can hinder your academic pursuits, career objectives or even your family life.  It is so important to stop anxiety attacks in the first stage of the illness and not let it escalate into something more serious.

Anxiety symptoms will quite often include exaggerating problems or constant worrying, easily agitated, being unreasonable, headaches, stomach aches and chest pains. In order to stop anxiety attacks you need to recognize the problem and have it diagnosed by a professional.  The doctor will administer various tests to distiguish whether you have a real physical illness or if you could be experiencing anxiety attacks. 

Scientists have been looking into the reasons for anxiety disorders.  Some believe it could be a genetically inherited disease, results of a post traumatic disorder, or due to abnormal brain chemistry.

Geneticists believe that a person’s family history can determine a lot of what types of illnesses they may be susceptible to.  The brain’s neurotransmitters have the ability to send messages throughout the brain. These neurotransmitters can become unbalanced to the degree that messages will not flow smoothly through the brain. Anxiety attacks can also be caused by sudden or traumatic changes in one’s environment. Going through stressful situations such as the death of someone very close, divorce or being in the military can all be contributing factors that worsen anxiety. 

You may have experienced a nervous stomach during a stressful situation but an anxiety attack is another story.  When an anxiety attack hits you feel like you are seriously going to die.  People experiencing anxiety symptoms will seek medical care at a hospital three or four times before a proper diagnosis is made.

It is adamant if you find yourself experiencing these types of symptoms that you seek a proper diagnosis so that you are able to get the treatment necessary to carry on your life. Until you find a way to stop anxiety attacks, either with therapy or with medication, you will not be able to function at work, at home or in personal relationships.
