Signs And Symptoms That You Cannot Ignore

December 23rd, 2008 Posted in Anxiety and Depression

Thinkg about some signs often and you will feel you are sick too very soon. This is strange, and I know when I write too much about something, I tend to believe thhings that are not there. Just sometime ago when I waritting about signs and symptoms, I suddenly felt like that there was stomach acid inside my throat. Even things started to taste strange. This all went away after the articles were written and submitted, proving that it was just the power of suggestion.

My mother was a nurse while she was still working, and she often thought she had some kind of anxiety disorder attacks or another such as colon cancer symptoms. It came from dealing with some many different signs and symptoms of different disease and conditions. Though she is different, it still did not take much for her mind to convince her that something was wrong. She passed this on to me. When I am sick, she will list down the symptoms and see which is the one that I am experiencing. There was never anything serious going on of course, but she was always worried none-the-less.

I would believe that it is very common now with the internet technology. There are some people who have too much time on their hands, and they do nothing but look up signs and symptoms online. This would be very apparent by the numbers of page views these types of articles seem to get, at least in my experience. I wouldn’t say that everyone is paranoid, but there is a certain amount of hysteria that comes from having too much access to information that might scare people.

If you do not get paranoid easily, you can always go online and look for more information. But, you need to be careful before you believe in anything. You should take what you find, print it out, and talk it over with your doctor. If they assure you that you are fine, you should rest easy. If you are not happy with the diagnosis, you can always get a second opinion, of course, but don’t let the hundreds of articles about signs and symptoms that you find online scare you when there is really nothing to worry about.
